Endpoint Security Operations Specialist (Financial Services)

Location: Hybrid/ Pretoria, Gauteng
Position Overview:
There is an exciting new vacancy available for an Endpoint Security Operations Specialist at a leading financial services group, within their Business Solutions and Technology Department.
The main purpose of this position is to implement, maintain and support cybersecurity tools, technologies, and solutions.
Key Performance Areas:
- Develop and maintain information technology (IT) security standards and procedures.
- Identify and categorise new IT security threats, vulnerabilities, and risks.
- Proactively and timeously assess the vulnerability of infrastructure to threats, diagnose problems and customise solutions.
- Administer and maintain IT security systems and solutions.
- Provide meaningful IT security metrics and reporting.
- Participate in IT security projects aimed at improving IT security.
- Troubleshoot identified IT security incidents (second and third-level support).
- Participate during the planned and unplanned IT systems recovery process.
- Participate in IT security audits.
To be considered for this position, one must have:
- A completed Bachelor’s degree in IT or an equivalent NQF 7 qualification.
- Internationally Recognised Security Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Product-Specific Certifications (e.g., Microsoft, Symantec, Sophos, and MacAfee).
- Certification as a Certified Incident Handler (GCIH), Certified Ethical Hacking (CEH) or Certified Information Security Professional (CISSP) is essential.
- A minimum of 8 to 10 years’ IT experience, of which a minimum of 3 years must be in IT security.
- Knowledge and skill in: Quality Assurance, IT Enablement Planning, IT Enablement Reporting, Security Operations Administration, Business Continuity, and Capacity and Performance Management.
